Potential Fees
However, many authors fail to read the required information. The journal recommends that you read these sections, specifically, the Potential Fees section which I have summarized below.
Fees
Proofs
will
be
supplied to
the
corresponding
author
to
check
for
accuracy
of
the
typesetting.
Author(s)
will
be
charged
for
alterations
to
the
proofs
beyond
those
needed
by
typesetting
errors.
In
nearly
4
decades
of
publishing
the
journal,
authors
have
been
charged
only
twice
for
excessive
changes.
One-Time Fees
There
are
NO submission
fees;
however,
should
your
manuscript
be
accepted
for
publication,
there
will
be
a
one-time
fee
of $500.
This
includes, EOA,
UOA,
and
typesetting
of
tables,
figures,
and/or
appendices.
The
fee
is
non-negotiatoble.
If
you
are
not
willing
to
pay
the
fee,
please
do
not
submit
a
manuscript
for
it
will
not
be
published
without
it.
When we receive corrected proofs and payment, you will receive a clean PDF copy for immediate professional use.
In
addition,
your
article
will
appear
online
immediately
for
online
access
by
journal
subscribers.
This
will
allow
you
to
share
your
publication
with
colleagues
and
be
quoted
months
in
advance
of
the
hard
copy
appearing
in
the
journal.
The
fee
for
this
service
was also
noted
when
you
submitted
your
manuscript.
PDF Policy
Regarding
the
PDF,
you
will
be
able
to
print
copies
of
your
manuscript,
email
it
to
colleagues
and
Listservs,
and/or
have
it
available
for
personal
and
professional
use.
However,
due
to
copyright
laws,
you
cannot use
the
PDF
for
profit
or
potential
profit.
This
includes,
but
is
not
limited
to:
1)
re-sale,
2)
publish
in
another
publication
media
(book,
manual,
or
journal),
or
3)
have
businesses,
corporations
or
companies
distribute
at
conferences
or
online.
These
uses
all
require
publisher
approval
and
will
include
a
fee.
If
you
are
unsure,
please
contact
the
Editor.
Moreover,
should
you
violate
use
of
the
copyright
laws
PNG
Publications
reserves
the
right
to
withdraw
this
specific
limited use
of
the
PDF
manuscript
and
to
pursue
copyright
infringement
to
the
full
extent
of
the law.
PubMed Central
Also,
as
many
of
you
know,
Congress
has
required
the
NIH
to
revise
its
Public
Access
Policy
that
applies
to
grantees
and
all
investigators
supported
in
whole
or
in
part
by
direct
funds
from
NIH.
The
law
requires
NIH
to
ensure
that
all
peer-reviewed
manuscripts
based
on
research
supported
by
NIH
funds
are
posted
on
the
National
Library
of
Medicine's
PubMed
Central,
to
be
made
freely
available
to
the
public
no
later
than
12
months
after
the
official
date
of
publication.
Therefore,
despite
that
your
manuscript
will
go
online
immediately
where
researchers
can
access
for
a
small
fee,
there
is
a
12-month
embargo
for
PubMed
to
NOT
place
online
free
of
charge.
If additional questions arise, feel free to contact the Journal offices.
