Institutional and Individual Subscribers:

How to Activate and Access Full Text

If you are a current Institutional subscriber, activation is not a necessary step for institution’s patrons to access the journal—this is achieved via IP recognition — i.e., once you, the Institutional subscriber have supplied your IP addresses to PNG Publications publisher of the Am J Health Behav and a subscription confirmation email has been received by your contact person from Atypon, access is available immediately. However, you may wish to register as the library administrator for your institution; see the 4 steps below.

If you have already provided PNG Publications (eglover1@umd.edu) with your IP addresses in numerical order, contact person, name of institution, institution address, and phone, fax, and email of contact person and you wish to register as the library administrator for your institution (in order to download usage statistics, check IP addresses, etc.), follow these 4 steps:

  1. Go to http://www.atypon-link.com/action/showActivation in your web browser.
  2. Click the "Institution" option.
  3. If you are not already registered, click “Register with Atypon Link” to create a new user account - otherwise log in (left bar menu) with your Atypon Link username and password.
  4. Enter your institution’s Atypon customer number. You will have received this already in a Subscription Confirmation email from Atypon Link. If you do not remember your customer number, inquire here: http://www.atypon-link.com/help#contact

Activation is necessary for individual subscribers:

If you are a current Individual subscriber... you need to provide PNG Publications (eglover1@umd.edu) with your name, place of employment, phone number and email address then…

  1. You will receive a subscription activation email from Atypon Link with instructions and an activation URL link to activate your subscription(s).
  2. Click the activation link in the email received.
  3. If you are not already registered, click “Register with Atypon Link” to create a new user account - otherwise log in (left bar menu) with your username and password .
  4. Once you register/log in, your activation is automatically completed.
  5. If you did not receive a subscription activation email from Atypon Link, click here to request one. In the Help form, indicate that you did not receive an activation URL for your subscription. Be sure to include the name of the journal to which you are subscribing.
  6. Once successfully activated, bookmark the journal full-text homepage:  http://www.atypon-link.com/PNG/loi/ajhb for easy access.
  7. Remember to log in for full-text access.

If you have any questions, go to the Atypon Link HELP section, which contains frequently asked questions and answers. If that doesn’t answer your questions, contact Atypon at support@atypon-link.com or the editor at eglover1@umd.edu .
